This week brings us another fascinating episode of Mystery at Blind Frog Ranch! Before we take a sneak peek at what Duane Ollinger and his team have to offer, let’s take a quick look at Episode 2 and remind ourselves what went down. It should be noted that Season 4 Episode 1 has been renamed from “Into the Cavern Pt. 2” to “Death Rumble.”

Episode 2 “The Curse of the Aztecs” brought a new expert to the ranch. Treasure hunter Josh Feldman has joined the team. With over 20 years of experience, Josh and his family made a name for themselves when they discovered the Lost Dutchman Mines. Hidden deep within Arizona’s Superstition Mountains, the Lost Dutchman Mines, named after German prospector Jacob “The Dutchman” Waltz, were rumored to have millions of gold bullion deep within.

Josh brings a whole new level of expertise and a fresh perspective. His idea is that Chad Ollinger and Eric Drummond focus on the South Cave/Great Cavern, while Duane and Charlie Boy work on the Bead Site: Vent Holes, and James Keenan and himself focus on the Bead Site: Shelter Area. One of these three areas is surely going to provide the team with a dry entrance into the Keynole Cavern.

“Death Trap”

Episode 3 is named “Death Trap” for a very specific reason. When Josh tells Chad and Eric to focus on the hollow spot, deep within the Great Cavern, they, and the production team, find themselves between a rock and a hard place. Literally.

Josh and James continue their examination of the Bead Site: Shelter Area. James brings out a Provinian Screen to help them keep track of the coordinates of what is found and where. This turns out to prove helpful when James makes a discovery that might help provide further concrete evidence that the Aztecs did indeed reside on the ranch.

While Josh and James work in that area, Duane and Charlie Boy continue their digging at the Bead Site: Vent Holes. Realizing he’s not getting too far with the excavator bucket, Duane decides to add a new attachment to the excavator that seems right out of Twisted Metal. With rumbles and tremors becoming more apparent on the ranch, Eric invites Seismologist Hector Estrella onto the ranch–and what Hector says might just shock everyone.

Tune into the Discovery Channel on December 4th for the next exciting chapter of Mystery at Blind Frog Ranch! You don’t want to miss this pulse-pounding, life-endangering episode!
