Blue Rose Task Force Podcast Meets The Log Lady in Episode 5

This week’s deep-diving spoiler-filled installment of the Blue Rose Task Force Podcast explores Episode 5—the sixth overall installment of Twin Peaks—using the full context of Twin Peaks from 1990 to 2017.

This week’s behind-the-scenes section focuses on how director Lesli Linka Glatter became involved with Twin Peaks, how her mindset was a perfect match for Twin Peaks, and how Mark Frost handled the character of the Log Lady in her first major scene—despite her originally being David Lynch and Catherine Coulson’s character.

After that, the host goes deep into Margaret’s words from the Log Lady introduction, and then her words in the episode itself. There’s a lot to be gleaned about the metaphysical realms depicted in the show, about Margaret herself, and the podcast explores a number these trains of thought.

Episode 5 is also a great spotlight on Audrey Horne. She wants to learn everything she can about Laura. The podcast looks into why that is, while showing how Hank’s path is a cautionary tale for her, and how the relationship with her father effects things.

Bobby Briggs gets a similar focus today. The podcast explores how his relationship with Laura affected him, who he was before he was with her, and the complicated way he and his father have something in common.
